Sanitized Bookshop
We sanitized the shop once again today so that anybody entering the shop can feel safe.
I am sure there are some parties you went to when small that you remember to this day. The Enchanted Forest Party hosted by Gansbaai Book Exchange will be one of those. Author, Elsa Winckler, together with Lanita Marais, fascinated children and adults with a reading from Wanneer is Eendag?
The party was attended by some very special folk - there were fairies, unicorns, Peter Pan was visiting and a very small Wally that was too cute and easy enough to find. Cupcakes were not boring as you could decorate as you saw fit. Some bubble fun was had with paint and some interesting art created. If you weren't playing in the pond of balls or having your face painted, you were enjoying some colouring-in therapy. No matter what age, there was some fun to be had.
The reading left just enough mystery over for everyone to make sure they did not leave without a copy of this delightful book. Many other children's books were also available.
Special thanks to: Elsa Winckler, Lanita Marais, Grootbos Green Futures for the loan of the plants and for Sharlene and Lakota for arranging our 'forest'; Fielavlooi for the loan of the colourful tables and chairs; J & A Cement Works for the transport; Marinda from Gansbaai Courant for attendance; Carina and Protea Boekhuis; Elzanne Bosch and Jean-Mare van Eck for all their effort.
