What an extraordinary honour it was to attend the 25th Birthday Celebration of the remarkable Wilfred Chivell and his dynamic, devoted team.

As both a proud Gansbaai resident and a representative of Gansbaai Tourism, my heart swelled with pride witnessing a room brimming with VIP delegates and the seamless professionalism with which this momentous occasion was orchestrated.

This was far more than a celebration of years, it was a powerful reflection on legacy, perseverance, and purpose. The atmosphere was electric with admiration as leaders in conservation, tourism, and community development from across the Western Cape rose in heartfelt ovation to honour Wilfred’s awe-inspiring journey. His story, marked by relentless passion, immense challenges, and triumphant victories, served as a poignant reminder that even the most ambitious dreams are within reach.
