Eskom has confirmed a planned power outage that will affect all municipal customers in the Greater Gansbaai area, including some surrounding farms.
This scheduled interruption is necessary to test equipment at the new Birkenhead 66kV substation before it is commissioned.
Power will be off from 10:00 to 16:00 on Tuesday, 3 June 2025.
Please note: Stanford, Hermanus as well as Hawston, Fisherhaven, Vermont, and other areas supplied directly by Eskom will not be affected.
