Looking for something fun to do? From markets and music to workshops and walks, here’s what’s happening this week across the Whale Coast.
SAWS has issued a weather advisory for parts of the Western Cape, including Overstrand, from late Friday evening through to Monday (6-9 June 2025).
Very cold, wet, and windy conditions are expected this weekend and residents are urged to take the following precautions:
• Clean your home’s drains, gutters and downpipes of leaves and debris to assist with the flow of stormwater
• Bring any loose outdoor objects indoors
• Limit travel wherever possible
• If you are on the road, keep a safe following distance and ensure your vehicle’s wipers and headlights are on and working
Overstrand Municipality’s emergency response teams will be on high alert.
