Cold Front and Rough Seas Warning | 28 April - 3 May 2026

Residents are advised to prepare for cold conditions and high waves this week.

Beach walkers, swimmers and fishermen are urged to be careful along the coast as the South African Weather Service (SAWS) forecasts rough sea conditions. 

Waves of 2.5-3.5m are expected early in the week, increasing to 4.0-4.5m by Friday as winds pick up. Conditions will improve from Saturday into Sunday as winds ease and sea conditions subside.
