Vote for Gansbaai in the Kwêla Town of the Year 2026 Competition
DIE STEMLYN IS OOP VIR DIE GANSBAAI KWêLA-DORP-van-die-JAAR KOMPETISIE! Gansbaai is die Wes-Kaap finalis! Kom ons bring die titel huis toe!
Stem nou, maar baie belangrik, deel dit ook met jou familie en vriende. Ons gemeenskap staan saam en daar heers groot opgewondenheid in Gansbaai!
Die nasionale wenner word uitsluitlik bepaal deur die hoogste aantal SMS-stemme vanuit die publiek. Die finale stemtydperk het gisteraand, 12 Julie begin en duur tot Vrydag, 17 Julie 2026 om 12:00 (middag).
HOE OM TE STEM:
1. Stoor Kwêla as 'n kontak op jou foon. Die nommer is 33157.
2. Stuur 'n SMS met slegs die woord "Gansbaai".
3. SMS'e kos R1,50 elk. Gratis SMS-bundels is nie geldig nie; as jy dus gratis SMS'e op jou foonpakket het, laai asseblief lugtyd om te kan stem.
4. Jy kan tot 30 SMS'e (maksimum) stuur en elke stem tel - so stem, stem, stem asseblief en gebruik daardie 30 stemme vir Gansbaai!
5. Bowenal, deel dit met al jou familie, vriende, bure, kollegas, sportklubvriende en mede-Wes-Kapenaars. Vra almal om te stem en die boodskap aan te stuur. Jy kan die verskil maak. Die dorp met die wydste kring van familie en vriende staan die beste kans om dié gesogte titel in te palm.
Die algehele wenner sal op Sondag, 2 Augustus 2026 op Kwêla aangekondig word.

Besoek Gansbaai Toerisme se kantoor by die Great White Junction (Spar-sentrum), dan help ons jou om te stem.
Bring jou foon, wys dat jy tien keer of meer gestem het en jy staan 'n kans om van die vele pryse los te slaan wat deur plaaslike besighede geskenk is.
Let wel: Geen elektroniese inskrywings word toegelaat nie; jy moet fisies met jou foon opdaag. Pryse sluit in: boottoere, restaurant-etes, haaiduiktoere, vulstasiegeskenkbewyse, korting by troeteldierwinkels, gemaaldekoffie van ons meesterkoffiemakers, die immergewilde pastel de nata-vla-tertjies van ons bakkery, bottels landgoedwyn, koopbewyse en baie meer.

'n Oproep aan alle Gansbaai-besighede: help asseblief om ons gemeenskap te inspireer om te stem. Indien u wil deelneem, lewer asseblief u koopbewys by die Gansbaai-toerismekantoor af. Beide groot en klein pryse word waardeer. Ons span staan gereed om u te ontvang.

Vote now and, most importantly, share with your family and friends. The community is rallying and there is tons of excitement already bubbling in Gansbaai!
The National winner is determined purely by highest volume of public SMS votes. The final voting window is now open and it closes12:00 (noon) on Friday, 17 July 2026. Vote! Vote! Vote!
HOW TO VOTE:
1. Save Kwela as a contact on your phone. Number is 33157.
2. Send an SMS with one word typed “Gansbaai”.
3. SMS’s are charged at R1.50 each. SMS bundles do not count so if you have free SMS’s on your phone package please load airtime to vote.
4. You may send a maximum of 30 SMS’s and every vote counts.
5. Most importantly, share this with all your family, friends, neighbours, work colleagues, sports club mates and fellow Western Capers. Ask everyone to vote and pass it on. You can make the difference.
The overall winner will be announced on Kwêla on Sunday, 2 August 2026.
GANSBAAI COMMUNITY - Come into the Gansbaai Tourism Office at Great White Junction (Spar Centre) and we will assist you to vote.
Bring your phone in and show us that you voted ten times or more and your name will be entered into the lucky draw for one of the many amazing prizes from our Gansbaai community businesses. Strictly no electronic entries permitted, you need to come in with your phone.
Prizes include boat tours, meal vouchers from our local restaurants, shark dives, garage vouchers, pet store discounts, coffee from our local barrister, the all-time favourite pasta de nata custard tart from our local bakery, bottles of local estate wine, vouchers for stores in Gansbaai and much more.
