Fiscal Flycatcher Babies Thrive
Our parting shot this week is of the fiscal flycatcher babies that were born a week ago in a nest just outside our office.
Check out these Sundevall's Shovel-snouts (Prosymna sundevallii), a small, harmless snake species with a very specialised diet, feeding exclusively on gecko eggs!
This special sighting was made on Friday, 11 October 2024, in the Walker Bay Nature Reserve, marking only the second record of this elusive species in the Walker Bay region.
