Our small but mighty team made it safely to Pretoria for the SA Schools Canoe Sprint Championships - and they did us proud on Day 1 of the 1000m sprints!
They brought home 10 medals - our best result ever for this distance!
A big thank you to Danver and Mzi for getting everyone there safely, and to Natasha, Rodger, Leigh, Sean, and the Grootbos Foundation for making this trip possible.

Fun fact: This photo is from the same event and venue back in 2018, when Matthew and Hayward won bronze in the U14 category. On Friday, 4 April 2025, they came back stronger and took silver in the U23 race!

Silver medals in 2025 - what a journey!
