Berg River Canoe Marathon - Well done, team!
We’re starting the week with a big shout-out to four brave paddlers from Stanford who took on the tough Berg River Canoe Marathon this past weekend. This race stretches over 4 days in chilly, windy Cape conditions, and they did it!
• Siya Kolpati - 39th overall
• Matthew Privett - 13th overall, 2nd in U23
• Grant Conlon - 52nd overall
• Neriyah Dill - 21st overall, 3rd woman overall, 1st U23 woman
Well done Siya, Matthew, Grant and Neriyah, you’ve made us proud!

Thank you for the kind messages of concern and care this week as an early summer fynbos fire burned between Gansbaai and Stanford.
The view at Grootbos shows a clear outline of where the fire moved towards the Walker Bay area and onto the reserve.
From all of us at Grootbos Foundation, we wish you a fabulous weekend full of wild discoveries.
