Youth Athletics Training at Gansbaai Primary
Our sports coaches assisted with pre-season athletics training at Gansbaai Primary this week.
Soaring high above Grootbos, this magnificent martial eagle was spotted scanning the landscape for prey. As one of Africa’s largest and most powerful booted eagles, it can weigh up to 6.5 kg, a true giant of the skies and an incredible sight to witness in the wild.

On the forest floor, a much smaller but equally fascinating creature made an appearance this week, the rhombic egg-eater (Dasypeltis scabra). Completely harmless to humans, this gentle little snake survives on a diet of bird eggs and plays a valuable role in the ecosystem.
