Youth Skills, Health Education and Girls Rugby

Grootbos Foundation delivered an Employability Workshop for matriculants from Hermanus Child and Family Services. What a powerful way for two NPOs to uplift young people by working together and building skills for their next chapter.

Our sports coaches rolled out a Menstrual Health Programme at a local primary school this week — and it was a resounding success. Using The Girls’ Guide to Growing Up, the Grade 6 girls were engaged, confident, and full of questions. The excitement spread through the whole school, with boys even asking to read the book! It’s proving to be a fantastic way to open healthy, honest conversations about menstrual health without awkwardness.

Don’t miss Coach Maxene in action on the Super 8 rugby field! Her passion, bravery and commitment to the sport continue to inspire and open doors for other girls who want to play rugby.
