A group of life science students from Stellenbosch University arrived at the Grootbos Environmental Centre to fully immerse themselves in the natural landscape for their first group research tasks of the year.
They are fascinated by the role that fire has recently played in the landscape and many groups are using this unique opportunity to investigate the varied impacts of fire on the ecosystem. We will share the progress of these future scientists in the next few weeks as they develop their hypotheses.
