The Masakhane Hub provides a safe and structured place for learning and homework after school. This space offers a different option to children who might not attend after-school sports.

Children come to sports practice for many reasons - they have a dream to become a soccer star, they enjoy the fun of hanging out with friends, they are drawn to the physical fun of stretching their muscles and limbs after sitting at a school desk, they like the mentorship and company of trained coach mentors, they are hungry and need a meal or there may be no one at their home until later on. Whatever the reason, the sports field provides a safe and fun place for them to go every afternoon.
