This week’s update from Grootbos Foundation starts at the very beginning (like A B C) with sports, games and physical activities with pre-schoolers at an Early Childhood Centre in the Blompark community of Gansbaai. Cool, dynamic Grootbos coaches teach these children how to grow and stay healthy by being active (and eating healthily). Each week, the coaches deliver fun games and physical activities at 3 different Pre-primary schools (ECDs) and 5 different Primary Schools where children often miss out on physical education and movement during their school day. Grootbos coaches support teachers by delivering these lessons and make sure that children get maximum benefit from movement as they grow.
