Prioritising Mental Health
This month we’ve been focusing on mental health at the Gansbaai clinic.
We had the pleasure of spending time with the soon-to-be graduates of the Grootbos Foundation Housekeeping Programme. During a special workshop, we introduced i-MED as a community resource and shared a few simple but powerful things—like the importance of the first 1000 days of life, how rosemary supports healing, and what really happens in the brain under stress. Knowledge is power, and these amazing graduates left with a little more of it.
And yes… even Boomerang the kitten got involved! She geared up for her very first online psychological first aid session. Don’t worry, counsellor Shereen was close by, just in case backup was needed.
