PERSONEELNUUS
Baie geluk aan ons eie Gansie-juffrou, Lyndri Kotze, met haar uitmuntende vaardigheid in netbal.
At Laerskool Gansbaai, we are more than just a school, we are a family where every family member’s safety matters.
Each day, parents trust us to keep their children safe. This responsibility is one that the entire faculty holds close to their hearts. However, in our modern world, maintaining a secure environment is best done with a little extra help.
Laerskool Gansbaai has launched a fundraising campaign to install CCTV cameras around the school. These cameras will help address challenges, including:
• Unauthorised Entry: Monitoring all entrances and exits can be tricky, especially during busy drop-off and pick-up times. Cameras help keep track of who is entering and exiting the school premises.
• Protecting Our Kids: From playgrounds to hallways, cameras will keep a watchful eye, deterring bullying and unwanted behaviour. People tend to be on their best behaviour when they know they are being monitored.
• Preventing Break-Ins and Vandalism: Our school is precious, and cameras will help safeguard it against damage, ensuring resources stay in our classrooms.
• Keeping Everyone Accountable: Historical footage can clarify incidents fairly and objectively.
• Helping in Emergencies: In critical situations, real-time footage can assist responders in acting quickly.
CCTV cameras aren’t only about traditional security, they foster an overall feeling of safety, trust, and accountability within the school community creating:
• Peace of Mind for Parents: Knowing their children are safe and secure provides reassurance.
• Protection for School Property: Safeguarding resources that support student learning.
• Deterrence of Negative Behaviour: Keeping our school a positive space for everyone.
While the need for CCTV cameras is clear, installing a full system requires substantial financial resources.
The Computer Hut has kickstarted the project with R25,000 and now needs the community's help to raise another R165,000.
This amount will cover the remaining costs of purchasing, installing, and maintaining the cameras.
• High-Quality CCTV Cameras: Supplied at cost by The Computer Hut, these cameras will be strategically placed in high-traffic areas, entrances, exits, hallways, and other critical spots on campus.
• Installation Costs: Professional installation is necessary to ensure the system works flawlessly.
• Monitoring & Maintenance: Ongoing monitoring services and occasional maintenance will be needed to ensure the cameras function effectively.
We understand that raising this amount may be challenging, but the safety of our students and staff is our top priority.
No matter how small, every donation will bring us one step closer to achieving this goal.
1. Donate: Every bit helps.
2. Spread the Word: Share this message with friends and family.
3. Corporate Sponsors: Challenge businesses and co-workers to equal or better your donation.
With your support, we can create a safe and happy environment for our students to learn and grow.
Please join us in this vital effort to protect our kids and their school.
