Book Launch by Natalie-Dominique Louw
Join us for a special book launch on 18 April at 10:00.

Déjà Vu is that eerie, fleeting sensation where a moment feels uncannily familiar. As if you've lived it before, even though you know you haven't. It's a psychological phenomenon that blends memory, perception, and a touch of mystery, often leaving us wondering about time, dreams, or hidden layers of experience.
The current art exhibition at Die Hangkas on Groeneweide Farm, near Franskraal, explores exactly this theme. Local artists have created works that capture the strange familiarity, the echo of something just out of reach, and the dreamlike quality of déjà vu. It's a beautiful, intimate show running over the first few days of April 2026, where visitors can step into Die Hangkas and immerse themselves in these evocative pieces.
You can view Natalie-Dominique Louw's two paintings created for the Déjà Vu theme right here at the exhibition. As a talented local artist, writer, and poet based in Franskraal, her work often carries emotional depth and a poetic sensitivity that fits the theme perfectly.
If you're in the Gansbaai area, it's well worth a visit and the setting on Groeneweide Farm adds to the atmospheric feel. Enjoy the show!
