Our latest newsletter is here! This edition covers exciting presentations, upcoming excursions, and key updates for 2025.
• Breakfast Meetings and Presentations - Join us at Onrus Manor or via Zoom for insightful talks by top geoscientists. Topics include diamond prospecting, placer gold science, and Southern African metallogeny.
• Gold Short Course - A special series of six expert presentations on gold, running from March to April.
• Excursions - Explore Bonnievale, Robertson, Montagu & Keisie Valley (May 9–11) and De Kelders Caves (date TBA).
• Membership and Financials - 2025 membership fees (R250) are due. Financial statements available upon request.
• Geology and Geoheritage - Presentations on Kruger National Park and Southern African Large Igneous Provinces later this year.
• Resources and Opportunities - Access past OGG presentations on YouTube, guidebooks, and job/mentorship opportunities for geologists.
