The Overberg Geoscientists Group (OGG), together with Melbourne and Stellenbosch Universities, is hosting the third International Gold Presentation Series during March-April 2026.
This series focuses on the Witwatersrand gold deposits, revisiting long-standing ideas, sharing new research, and encouraging discussion between academics, students, industry professionals and the public sector.
Sessions will be held on Thursdays at 10:00 (RSA time) via Zoom, with selected in-person events where possible. Topics include placer analogues, metamorphism and alteration, structural controls, sedimentology, carbon in Wits rocks, and erosion channels, presented by leading local and international experts.
