The Overberg Geoscientists Group, in collaboration with the University of Melbourne and Stellenbosch University, highlights the Geology of Gold Course (2-6 March 2026) and the associated OGG International Gold Lecture Series 2026.
The programme covers the fundamental geology of gold alongside latest research and exploration ideas, with a strong focus on greenstone-hosted, sediment-hosted and Witwatersrand-style deposits. The 5-day course includes lectures, practical sessions and a 2-day field trip, while the OGG Gold Series continues online with expert-led discussions exploring current debates and new thinking around gold systems.
