Overstrand Medical Centre in Gansbaai

Exciting news! The construction of the new medical centre in Gansbaai is set to begin at the end of July 2023.

The earthworks are projected to start by the end of July 2023.

The Overstrand Medical Centre is being built to respond to our community health needs. The hospital project, funded by private investors, aims to improve healthcare and boost socio-economic growth in the greater Gansbaai region. Located at the entrance of Gansbaai, opposite the police station, the modern 20-bed medical centre will have an emergency unit, two operating theatres, acute care beds, diagnostic imaging, laboratory services, as well as a pharmacy. The 24x7 facility will meet inpatient and outpatient needs, boost specialized care, and support patients from local medical practitioners.
