Summary of the (PBRPA) October 2024 Meeting
The PBRPA management committee addressed key issues, including ongoing infrastructure concerns.
Date: Thursday, 25 January 2024, 10:00 at Seeff Office
November 2023 minutes approved, proposed by Jason, and seconded by Trevor.
Infrastructure and Maintenance:
• The drop-off zone is open 7 days a week during holidays, request to keep it open over Easter.
• Investigation into the use of the zone by the Resort.
• Fines for illegal dumping proposed, to be enforced by Law Enforcement.
• Removal of telephone poles in Central Street to be investigated.
• Various projects, including Drinking Fountain, Painting of Whale, and Village Map, with no further updates.
• Road in Therondraai to be dropped to pavement level.
Dogs on Beach Programme:
• Period for public comment over, Council to make a decision.
NW Response to Fires:
• Excellent response with 3 first responders on duty 24/7.
Jukskei Court at Arc Street:
• Concerns raised by Conservancy, matter referred to Council for decision.
Water Quality:
• Complaints about taste and clarity received; explained by Cllr Fourie.
• Long-term solution planned: upgrade purification system.
Finance and Membership:
• Trevor to send emails to members with unpaid subs in the last 3 years.
Arrangements for AGM:
• Scheduled for Friday, 22 March 2024, 15:00 at Angling Club.
• Proposed amendments to the constitution to be communicated to members.
