As rabies continues to impact seals along our coastline, it's essential for dog owners to keep their pets on a leash.
MINUTES OF A MEETING OF THE MANAGEMENT COMMITTEE OF THE PEARLY BEACH RATEPAYERS’ ASSOCIATION HELD AT THE ANGLING CLUB, AT 15H00 ON THURSDAY, 22 FEBRUARY, 2024.
The Chairperson welcomed everyone to the meeting and Alderman Dudley Coetzee opened in prayer.
PRESENT: Cllr Steven Fourie; Alderman Dudley Coetzee, (both ex officio), Messrs Trevor Archer, Jason Stonehewer
Mesdames Shirley Coetzee, Nelia Hurter, Wilma Brent and Vivienne Burton-Moore
Jason requested an amendment to the January minutes under the item of the Jukskei court - that the following be added: “Elrina Versveld had mentioned that there were other alternatives to the proposed Jukskei court in Arc Street.” With this amendment noted, the January 2024 minutes were approved. Proposed by Trevor and seconded by Jason.
Trevor advised the meeting that he had sent emails to all members who have not paid their subs within the last 3 years.
The AGM will take place at the Angling Club on the Friday, 22 March, 2024 at 3pm.
Nelia asked if the municipality could supply more “Beware of Tortoises” signs which are needed to display around the village. Alderman Coetzee stated that the location of these signs needs to be indicated before the order is placed and that there may be a delay in receiving them.
The next meeting will take place on Thursday, 14 March, 2024, at 10h30. Venue to be confirmed.
With nothing further to discuss, the meeting was closed at 15h30 due to the holding of the public meeting.
Pearly Beach Ratepayers Association is a non-profit organisation that aims to preserve the beauty and integrity of Pearly Beach. Regarding all community affairs, the association is a direct link between local ratepayers and the Overstrand Municipality.
