Rabies Alert: Keep Dogs Leashed on Overstrand...
As rabies continues to impact seals along our coastline, it's essential for dog owners to keep their pets on a leash.
On Friday, 22 November 2024, the Pearly Beach Ratepayers’ Association (PBRPA) hosted an informal public meeting at the Angling Club. The meeting covered important updates, including water security, local infrastructure, and community concerns.
Key highlights include:
• Citizen Collaborator App: Cllr Steven Fourie encouraged residents to use the upgraded app for reporting queries and complaints. A hands-on training session will be held in early 2025.
• Water Security: Jacques le Roux shared an update on water shortages, revealing that the Pearly Beach Clear Water Dam is 80% full, ensuring a reliable water supply for the next 10 years.
• Bottle Store Concerns: A lively discussion about a proposed bottle store in the area raised concerns about loitering. Residents can submit objections via email.
• Infrastructure Issues: Residents raised concerns about potholes, speed dips, and missing road signs. These issues should be reported through the Citizen Collaborator App for resolution.
