Summary of the (PBRPA) October 2024 Meeting
The PBRPA management committee addressed key issues, including ongoing infrastructure concerns.
Overstrand Municipality received another feather in its cap tonight when it was placed second in the Western Cape 2017 Greenest Municipality Competition for local municipalities.
The competition was won by Swartland Municipality (Malmesbury) while Hessequa Municipality (Riversdale) came third.
Overstrand also won the category for Waste Management, Water Conservation & Water Management as well as Biodiversity Management.
The Municipality was also recognised for INNOVATIVE practices in WATER (for the effective and efficient operational and maintenance of the bulk water services) and WASTE ('Rethink the Bag Plastic' shopping bags) in the same competition.
Pearly Beach Ratepayers Association is a non-profit organisation that aims to preserve the beauty and integrity of Pearly Beach. Regarding all community affairs, the association is a direct link between local ratepayers and the Overstrand Municipality.
