Not Just Sharks Around the Cage!
On this dive, it wasn’t only the Bronze Whaler Sharks that caught our attention… we also had some special visitors.
Recycle Swop Shop Tuesday Update
What an incredible day it was this past Tuesday!
• Rene Mouton from the Gansbaai Lions Club dropped by our lodge with a wonderful load of toys.
• Bazil Christians, a local tour operator, and his two clients generously donated clothing, toys, and sanitary towels for the girls.
• Previous volunteers Adam and Amber sent through stationery, toys, and socks - all the way from abroad!
With all these amazing donations, we eagerly awaited the children and their recyclables, and they didn’t disappoint!
A total of 150 children arrived with bags, trolleys, and wheelbarrows packed full of plastics and glass. After swapping their points for items they chose, each child enjoyed a cup of healthy vegetable soup before heading home - ready to return again next week.
A big thank you to the Overstrand Municipality for kindly providing the truck to collect all the recyclables.
