Leaving a Narcissist: There Is No Failure in ...
There is no failure in being too scared to take the step.
The narcissist counts on your DOUBT.
Leaving a narcissistic relationship can feel overwhelming. You question yourself over and over:
Am I imagining it? Is it really that bad? Am I being ungrateful? Could I manage on my own?
When your reality has repeatedly been dismissed, distorted or challenged, you can begin to doubt your own judgement. You know something isn't right, yet you struggle to trust what you know.
You may feel stuck between the pain of staying and the fear of leaving. The familiar can feel safer than the unknown, even when it hurts.
But there is light beyond the confusion. There are answers, and there is a way forward.
Your first step: Put your doubts on paper.
Ask yourself:
• Am I imagining it? Write down what actually happened.
• Is it really that bad? Describe what daily life feels like.
• Am I ungrateful? Acknowledge what hurts, as well as what you appreciate.
• Could I manage on my own? Write down what support you would need.
Sometimes, seeing your experiences in your own handwriting helps you step back from the endless questioning and look at your reality more clearly.
You don't have to make every decision today. Start by listening to yourself again.
You are allowed to trust your perceptions, rebuild your confidence and imagine a different future.
You are not powerless. You are possible.
Master Your Beliefs. Master Your Future.
