Know What You Want: Your First Step to Busine...
You need a map, and you hold it within.
NOTHING IS BROKEN. YOU ARE NOT A TOY THAT MUST BE FIXED.
Have you ever caught yourself saying, “I need to fix myself”?
I want you to pause for a moment and consider what those words actually imply.
When you look at a plate, a chair, or a toy that needs fixing, you see something that is broken. Perhaps it is damaged, cracked, or even in pieces. It no longer functions as it was intended to.
But you are not an object. You are a human being.
Yes, you may have experienced situations, relationships, and events that left you feeling less worthy, less capable, or somehow not enough. Perhaps you were criticised, rejected, overlooked, or made to believe that who you were was not acceptable.
And somewhere along the way, you began forming beliefs about yourself.
Perhaps you decided you had to be strong because showing vulnerability wasn't safe. Maybe you learnt to keep everyone happy because conflict felt threatening. Or you started believing that you had to work harder, do more, or prove your worth to be accepted.
At the time, these beliefs may have served a purpose. They helped you make sense of your world and find ways to cope with what you were experiencing.
But here is something worth considering.
A belief you formed in the past does not have to define the person you are today.
Once a belief takes hold, we often begin looking for evidence to confirm it. If you believe you are not good enough, your attention may naturally gravitate towards the moments when you make a mistake, disappoint someone, or fall short of your expectations. Meanwhile, the many times you succeed, show courage, or demonstrate your worth may go unnoticed.
And so the belief becomes stronger, not necessarily because it is true, but because you keep finding evidence to support the story.
What if you stopped approaching yourself as something that needs to be fixed?
What if, instead, you became curious about the beliefs you carry? Where did they come from? What were they protecting you from? Are they still serving you, or have they become limitations that no longer fit the life you want to live?
You do not have to condemn the younger version of yourself for developing those beliefs. That version of you was doing the best they could with the understanding and resources available at the time.
You can acknowledge the protection those beliefs offered while giving yourself permission to choose differently today.
You are not broken. You are growing, learning, and discovering new possibilities.
You are worthy of living your best life, not because you have fixed every perceived flaw, but because your worth was never dependent on being perfect in the first place.
Master your Beliefs. Master your Future.
