It’s starting to cool down in the Overberg which means we are all going to need a little extra help heating up!

While many of us use electric heaters and blankets to do the job, some of us prefer a traditional fireplace to generate warmth and a cosy ambience on the coldest days. 

If you will be making fires this winter, do so safely by:

 • Clearing chimneys 
 • Keeping gas cylinders and electric cables away from fires
 • Avoiding leaving fires unattended
 • Refraining from using petrol to get your fire started
