Gans-Berg Nuus / News was established in 2020 by Michelle van Zyl.

Michelle’s passion for her community, coupled with her many years of print media experience, inspired her to live her dream of being involved in a local area news publication. 

Since its inception, the news team has evolved into a unit and refers to each other as family. Each member on the Gans-Berg Nuus / News team inspires each other with knowledge, creativity and expertise to deliver and perform at their very best. The team's mission statement is, "empathy, community and truth".

History of Gansbaai - Book Sales

Gans-Berg Nuus / News celebrated Gansbaai’s centenary in 2021 by publishing a soft-cover coffee table book that documents the history of Gansbaai. 

The book includes stories and images that create an in-depth look at life in Gansbaai over the last century. Included in the book are tried-and-tested family recipes contributed by some of the locals. 
 
History of Gansbaai is available in Afrikaans and English and the print run is limited so ensure you order your copy timeously.
