A Wild Start to the Day: Leopard Spotted
This morning, our reserve manager received an exciting camera trap alert of a leopard sighting.
From the sports desk, we are thrilled to announce that Qhama Dyakophu is proudly flying the Grootbos Foundation flag high in KZN by making the Under 18 KZN Hockey Team. We are immensely proud of Qhama, as are his family, friends, and community. He continues to inspire fellow hockey players every day with his dedication and achievements.
Additionally, Siphamandla has been selected for the Under 14 Regional Boland Hockey Team, competing in a winter tournament in Paarl on the weekend of June 15, 2024. This is a fantastic achievement, and we wish him the best of luck in the tournament.
Coach Danver (right) recently dropped Kwanda (left) at Cape Town International Airport, from where he flew to Johannesburg to compete in the Under 14 Hockey Inter-Provincial Tournament. The excitement is palpable as Kwanda, who towers over everyone in the Boland Under 14 Hockey Team, including the coach and manager, represents his team.
We are incredibly proud of these young athletes and their accomplishments. They serve as shining examples of hard work and determination in our community. Keep soaring, stars!
