Indigenous Games and Lichen Diversity with Dr. Alan Fryday

Our dedicated sports coaches hosted a morning filled with fun and physical indigenous games on the Stanford Village Green during the school holidays!

We were thrilled to welcome some keen participants from across the country who came to learn from the lichen godfather himself, Dr. Alan Fryday! Travelling all the way from Michigan, Dr. Fryday is spending a month at Grootbos to survey the incredible lichen diversity found here.

Join us as we engage in lichen identification right in the field! It’s a fantastic opportunity to learn about our unique ecosystem while having fun!
