A Wild Start to the Day: Leopard Spotted
This morning, our reserve manager received an exciting camera trap alert of a leopard sighting.

Winter in the Cape means one thing - mushroom season!
All around the Grootbos Reserve, mushrooms are popping up in every shape, size and colour. Some are edible, some are toxic, others have been used in medicine for years, and a few might even make you see stars (not recommended!).
We prefer to keep it safe and just admire their beauty. They're some of the most photogenic organisms out there.
And the closing shot? Mushrooms and fun guys are popping up everywhere at Grootbos.
