A Wild Start to the Day: Leopard Spotted
This morning, our reserve manager received an exciting camera trap alert of a leopard sighting.
This team of rangers has been working on the reserve during the fynbos fire that has burnt and smouldered in the Walker Bay Region over the last 10 days. Many others have also helped and worked tirelessly to protect people, homes, land and nature.
When rain finally falls and the fire is completely out, Grootbos Foundation will share photographs. For now, the combined fire response group remains alert and on call, and we are grateful to this team and all the others who have protected those who call this area home.
