A few members of the conservation team joined CREW (Custodians of Rare and Endangered Wildflowers) on an expedition in the greater Agulhas Plain landscape and this is what they saw near Bredasdorp... Cyrtanthus guthrieae. This gloriously scarlet trumpet is closely related to the newly discovered Nuwejaars lily from the Nuwejaars Wetland Special Management Area. What an elegant and striking flower!
