Grootbos Foundation supported the Stanford Canoe Club in hosting the Stanford Canoe Race last Saturday before the storm blew in. The team had their best results ever at this event, with CJ finishing third overall in the 22km main race. Yonwabe was the first Under 18 and Sinoyolo, the second Under 18, to finish. Sakhe won the 12km race and Lukhanyo won the 6km guppy race. Thanks to coaches Corrie, Danver and Maxine for all their back-end support to help make the race such a success for Stanford.

This is the Stanford Canoe Team working together - Khanyisa and Imange were the first K2 team home in the long race with CJ on their wave.

Yonwabe shows beautiful style.
