Sibongeleni CJ Mzimba has been part of the canoeing programme for 9 years. He is currently in Auronzo, Italy to attend the International Canoe Sprint Regatta from 3-5 July, representing South Africa in the Under 23 category. We can't wait to hear all about this incredible international experience from CJ, whose dedication to the sport inspires his friends. Thank you to Paddlesport SA and the Stanford Canoe Club for helping CJ get to Italy.

Closer to home, the canoe team is in Cape Town to race in the SA Schools Marathon Championships at Zandvlei from 3-5 July. They train throughout the year for canoeing sprints in the warm season, and marathons in the winter season. They love testing their strength against paddlers from other canoe clubs and other provinces, and we can't wait to hear how they measure this weekend.
