We decided to take a short walk in the fynbos so that all the teams of Grootbos Foundation, including Conservation Research, Adult Skills Training, Fynbos Nursery, Sports Development, Grootbos Environmental Centre, and Office Admin, which all operate from different sites, could hang out together in the fynbos. What a great idea it was to take a moment together in nature. Of course, we seized the moment to hand-pull out any little invasive plant shoot that we saw along the way.
Our parting shot is of Strumaria spiralis, which is looking particularly spectacular and fresh-faced in the winter sunshine on Boscheuwel, which is in the local Walker Bay Fynbos Conservancy.
