Grootbos Foundation Holiday Programme

During the school holiday, children choose safe places and fun opportunities to hang out together in the company of Grootbos Foundation sports coaches at the sports field and the Masakhane Hub. The holiday programme adds holiday flavour, so often creative games and free play is added to more traditional sports practices so that there is something to appeal to all children.The holiday programme is often the first experience that children have of the Grootbos Foundation's sports development programmes; after this fun experience, many return for the normal afternoon programmes that run after school during term time.

Holiday programme sport and games at Spaces4Sport in Gansbaai take place in the mornings during the school holiday.

Holiday programme art keeps kids creative and engaged at the hub when they want a change of pace. Healthy physical growth and development rely on the development of fine and gross motor skills as well as healthy nutrition.
