Conservation, Jobs and Community: Creating a Sustainable Future

Your feel-good news from the Grootbos Foundation begins with a story that joins the dots between conservation, job creation and community upliftment among local women.

The Grootbos Foundation Entrepreneurship team engaged in Money-themed business mentorship with the Green Stewards who work independently to clear land of invasive plants.

The main message of the day was to encourage SAVING. These teams of plant clearers are working towards sustainability, while the conservation team works on developing conservation awareness and a market among landowners to contact these teams. Put together, these opportunities deliver good land management goals, good fire management targets and local job creation.
