Do you want to own a genuine wooden ‘kaskar’ made the traditional way? Inspired by Oom Dries Vermeulen and crafted by Oom Brian David Privett, both residents at Herberg-aan-See, this handcrafted wooden wagon is the sought-after prize in the Win A Kaskar Raffle!
Surely this state-of-the-art set of wheels has the potential of becoming a solid piece of Afrikaaner memorabilia? The two uncle’s used the old-fashioned box cart building method that includes front-wheel drive manoeuvrability, durable rear-wheel tyres and an axel that is designed to handle the bumps.
Most importantly, if you win, this handmade sports mobile will make the little person in your life very happy! Alternatively, if you can’t stand parting with your prize, it can also be used as a ‘bankie’ for your shorter buddies to sit on at your next braai.
In the time leading up to Herberg-aan-See’s Bazaar on the 6th of August 2022, the public is invited to pop by the Tehuis to buy one or more raffle tickets for only R5 each. Raffle tickets will also be available at the bazaar when one lucky winner will be driving off into the sunset with this one-of-a-kind creation.
