Location: Gansbaai, South Africa
Dive Site: Joubertsdam
Water Temp: Low
Visibility: Moderate
Sightings: Bronze Whaler Sharks, Storm Petrels, African Penguins
Trip Summary: Today due to the low tide we have exceptionally launched the first trip from Gansbaai harbour. Indeed we had a beautiful ride around the Danger Point Lighthouse, having the chance to spot many different species of seabirds, storm petrels, cape cormorants and the subantarctic skua. On our way, we also had a quick encounter with a group of African penguins. At the diving spot "The Shallows" we had the opportunity to see several mature individuals of Bronze whaler sharks, the protagonist of our trip. They were really curiously checking on our divers. They gave us the opportunity to admire them quite closely. Even from the upper deck of the boat, the view was quite amazing.
