Location: Gansbaai, South Africa
Dive site: Joubertsdam
Water temp: Moderate
Visibility: Moderate
Sightings: Bronze whaler sharks, Short-tail stingray, Cape fur seal + African penguins
Summary: Our guests on board Slashfin were in for a beautiful day on the water as we departed into calm waters from Kleinbaai Harbour. Both trips started off with a sighting of the critically endangered African penguin rafts, residents of Dyer Island. The Bronze whaler sharks stole the show, however, with increasing activity as the day went on. Divers were able to see these sharks at their full potential with the underwater visibility. The second trip were also lucky enough to view the Short-tail stingray, wrapping up a fantastic day of wildlife sightings. Thank you to everyone who joined us!

What a beautiful day out on sea.
Overcast skies but calm conditions awaited as Slashfin launched from Kleinbaai Harbour.
We had a wonderful day out in the ocean today, filled with nothing but marine life.
This morning we had an early start to the day as strong south-easterly winds began to pick up.
