A warm day on the water today! We launched for Kleinbaai Harbour and after a short drive in the bay, we had an AMAZING sighting!
In honour of the legendary predator that Marine Dynamics has the privilege of working with every day, Wilfred Chivell commissioned an artwork to preside over Kleinbaai harbour. The mythical king of the sea, Poseidon, seemed a perfect fit with the sharks and artist Jenna Harris combined the two to create a stunning visual that will create photographic opportunities for residents and visitors.
The artwork was officially unveiled on the 15th April and the moment shared with the public. “I want the people of Gansbaai to enjoy this artwork and the stunning backgrounds that can be achieved. The Hermanus Cliff Path artworks provided inspiration and wanted to create something similar. Sharks, as kings of the sea, are a perfect fit,” said Wilfred Chivell.
Artist, Jenna Harris, is Durban born and is in her final year articles at Deloitte to qualify as a Chartered Accountant. She has a love for art, in particular painting and drawing, inspired by her mother who is a professional artist. Passionate about the ocean, Harris was hapy to work on this project.
