Today, we were treated to warm, calm weather out at sea, making for a fantastic day!
Today we were fortunate not only to experience our active Bronze whaler sharks, but also Sevengill sharks aka broadnoses or broad-snouts. Sevengill sharks, are named for having 7-gill slits on the leach side, versus the 5 found in all other existing shark species. These sharks can reach lengths of at least 3m with an average of 1,5m. They typically feed on large fish but have been found to eat almost anything, including other sharks, seals, dolphins, etc.
Don't miss out on the opportunity to experience one of our many active iconic shark species tomorrow!
