The latest Overberg Geoscientists Group (OGG) Newsletter #4 is out now!
The OGG hosted a successful GeoExcursion to Gansbaai, Walker Bay & De Kelders Caves (30 Aug 2025) and is progressing with southern Cape geoheritage projects. Upcoming talks include Dr. Bruce Eglington on plate tectonics (4 Sept), a Stanford flood post-mortem (6 Nov), and Ronnie Hazel on De Beers in Russia (4 Dec).

News highlights cover mining modernisation in South Africa, Angola’s diamond industry, and DRDGold’s tailings cleanup. OGG shares resources via YouTube playlists (gold, diamonds, geology) and welcomes new members (annual fee R250) with plans for updated membership categories.
