Exciting Changes at De Hoop Collection

Exciting things are happening at De Hoop Collection!

We're busy making a few special improvements to enhance every guest's visit while preserving the natural beauty that makes De Hoop so unique.

The Fig Tree Restaurant is currently being expanded with a larger dining area, floor-to-ceiling windows overlooking the vlei, a brand-new open veranda, and easier access to the boma and viewing deck. These upgrades are expected to be completed by mid-August.

We're also creating a dedicated Guides Room where guests can connect with our knowledgeable guides, ask questions about the reserve's incredible wildlife, birdlife, history and geology, and get the most out of their De Hoop experience.

Another exciting addition is our Geological Timeline, an interactive journey through Earth's history that showcases the remarkable geological story of De Hoop, from ancient landscapes to the present day. This will perfectly complement our Origins of Early Southern Sapiens Behaviour Exhibition, offering visitors an even deeper appreciation of this extraordinary destination.

The illustration shows where these additions will be located. Please note that the swimming pool shown is our existing infinity pool and is not a new addition.
