This week, UEFA visited Grootbos Foundation for a week of volunteer service during which staff gave their time and energy to the Foundation's holiday programme as well as to upgrading the Masakhane Hub outdoor area. From weeding and painting to maintenance and coaching, the team from UEFA threw themselves into the volunteer week with joy and teamwork, embracing the cultural experience and the human connections they made during the week.
They proved that the world of soccer and sport believes in the examples of teamwork, dedication, hope, and in sharing what sport highlights in the human spirit. Thank you, UEFA, for choosing to leave your handprints in South Africa.
