How to Achieve True Freedom: Cut the Shackles

Freedom happens when you choose to cut the shackles.

Who keeps you in revenge mode, hate, and victimhood? Who prevents you from reaching your goals and dreams? Yes, life can be hard, and at times life is unfair. We get hurt and used, and sometimes it might feel as though we get tossed aside once we are no longer useful.

On our path of forgiveness, and in particular self-forgiveness, we reach a point where we say: I am tired of myself, I no longer want to live here. It is at that moment that we open up to cut the ties and the resulting shackles we have been dragging with us. You realise that while you live there, you poison your future. In a way, we become so used to our pain that we view the shackles as our badges of achievement, our jewellery. It is difficult to let go because it implies that we must change. So if we change, who do we become?

You become the true you. You become the best version of who you ever could be. You become free and you live. Freedom is reclaimed within ourselves, by the way we grow and become true to ourselves. Freedom is not something we get from outside.

Will you start cutting those shackles today? Are you ready to be free?
