APPLICATIONS FOR THE LEASE OF LED BUSINESS UNITS (CONTAINERS)

Applications are hereby invited for the lease of the LED-business units situated at Ou Meule Street, Bredasdorp (back of Welverdiend Library) as well as next to Lesedi Creche, Zwelitsha-entrance. The 12 units at Lesedi are 3m x3m. At Welverdiend there are 2 units measuring 6m x12m that are equipped for fast food takeaways and 10 units of 6m x3m. These units are being made available to contribute to our goal of empowering upcoming entrepreneurs and small businesses in Cape Agulhas.

The following principles shall apply:

• Only upcoming entrepreneurs and new entrants to the market need to apply.

• Only SA-citizens residing in Cape Agulhas may apply.

• Applicants should not own any other businesses.

• Applicants that wish to sell prepared/hot foods must submit a health certificate obtainable from the Overberg District Municipality within 3 months (or any reasonable time hereafter).

• The plots are zoned for ordinary business, hence enterprises such as welding, mechanical works, panel beating, etc. will not be considered.

• Only one unit per successful application shall be allocated.

The following documents must accompany your application:

• Certified copy of identity document.

• Proof of address.

• Fully completed application form.

• A business plan outlining the sustainability of the business intended.

General:

Application forms are obtainable from the Tourism Building (Long St, Bredasdorp opposite Magistrate’s Office) between 09H00 - 14H00 during weekdays. The lease shall be for a period of twelve months, with the option of renewal. No subleasing of units will be allowed. Successful applicants will be expected to pay a deposit equal to one month’s rent, as well as one month’s rental in advance prior to occupation. Pre-paid electricity meters will be available, and the purchase of pre-paid electricity will be for the applicants own account. Applicants should not be in arrears on any municipal account. Applications will be evaluated by a committee to determine functionality and sustainability and will be prioritised accordingly. Applicants will enter into a lease agreement with the Municipality.

Closing date for applications: Completed applications must be submitted in a sealed envelope marked “Application for Lease of Business Units”, and placed in the tender box of Cape Agulhas Municipality’s main office (1 Dirkie Uys St, Bredasdorp) on or before 12HOO Friday 24 July 2020 where after it will be opened in public.

HUUR VAN BESIGHEIDSEENHEDE (CONTAINERS)

Aansoeke word hiermee ingewag vir die huur van die munisipale besigheidseenhede geleë te Ou Meule Weg (agterkant van Welverdiend Biblioteek) asook langs Lesedi Kleuterskool ingang, Zwelitsha, Bredasdorp. Daar is 12 eenhede by Lesedi wat 3 x 3 m beslaan. Daar is 2 eenhede by Welverdiend vir kos / wegneemetes van 6m x 12m en 10 ander eenhede van 6m x12m. Die beskikbaarstelling van die besigheidseenhede gee gestalte aan ons doel om opkomende en kleinbesighede in Kaap Agulhas op te hef.

Die volgende voorwaardes sal geld:

• Slegs opkomende entrepreneurs en nuwe toetreders tot die mark mag aansoek doen.

• Aansoekers moet SA-burgers en woonagtig in Kaap Agulhas wees.

• Aansoekers moet nie enige ander besigheid besit nie.

• Aansoekers wat van voornemens is om voorbereide kosse te verkoop moet binne 3 maande (of enige redelike tyd hierna) ‘n gesondheidsertifikaat toon, waarvoor aansoek gedoen kan word by die Overberg Distriksmunisipaliteit.

• Die persele is slegs vir gewone besighede ge-soneer en bedrywe soos sweiswerke, motorherstelwerke, paneelklop, ens. sal dus nie op hierdie stadium oorweeg kan word nie.

• Slegs een perseel sal per suksesvolle aansoeker toegestaan word.

Die volgende dokumente moet u aansoek vergesel:

• Gesertifiseerde afskrif van identiteitsdokument.

• Bewys van woonadres.

• Voltooide amptelike aansoekvorm.

• ‘n Besigheidsplan waarin die volhoubaarheid van die voorgenome besigheid uitgespel word.

Algemene nota:

Aansoekvorms kan op weeksdae tussen 09H00-14h00 by die Toerisme Gebou (Langstr, Bredasdorp oorkant Magistraatskantoor) afgehaal word. Die huurkontrak sal vir ‘n tydperk van 12 maande wees, met die opsie om te verleng. Geen onderverhuring van die eenhede sal toegelaat word nie. Indien u suksesvol sal wees in u aansoek, sal daar van u verwag word om beide ‘n deposito gelykstaande aan 1 maand se huurgeld, asook ‘n maand se voorafbetaalde huurgeld te betaal, alvorens die eenheid betrek kan word. Voorafbetaalde kragmeters sal aangebring word, en die suksesvolle aansoekers sal verantwoordelik wees vir die aankoop van hul eie voorafbetaalde elektrisiteit. Aansoekers mag nie agterstallig wees op enige munisipale rekening nie. Die aansoeke sal deur ‘n komitee evalueer word op grond van hul funksionaliteit en lewensvatbaarheid, en die toekenning van die eenhede sal onderhewig wees aan die ondertekening van ‘n huurkontrak waarin die voorwaardes uiteengesit sal wees.

Sluitingsdatum vir aansoeke: Volledige aansoeke moet voor of op Vrydag 24 Julie 2020 om 12H00 in die tenderbus van Kaap Agulhas Munisipaliteit se hoof kantoor (Dirkie Uys Str. 1, Bredasdorp) geplaas wees in ‘n verseëlde koevert gemerk “ Aansoek vir huur van Besigheidseenheid”, waarna aansoeke stiptelik om 12H00 in die openbaar oopgemaak sal word. Persone wat voorheen aansoek gedoen het, moet nuwe aansoeke indien. Onvolledige aansoeke sal gediskwalifiseer word.

Navrae: Enige navrae oor die huur van die besigheidseenhede kan gerig word aan mnre. Reëlings om die eenhede te besigtig, moet ook by die kantoor getref word. Moet asseblief nie die perseel op u eie betree nie, aangesien die perseel nog onder konstruksie is.
